The Woburn Ultimate Bariatric Bed is the highest-capacity profiling bed within the Woburn range, designed to provide additional space, strength and support for bariatric users. Manufactured with a reinforced under-bed structure and triple aluminium side rails, it combines robust construction with electric positioning and practical features for nursing, residential and home care environments.
The Woburn Ultimate 1200 provides a 200cm x 120cm mattress platform, giving users additional space compared with a standard-width care bed. The reinforced construction is designed to provide increased support, while the aluminium side rails offer a robust and easy-to-clean solution for care environments.
With a maximum user weight of 317kg (50 stone) and a safe working load of 381kg (60 stone), the Woburn Ultimate is designed for users requiring a high-capacity bariatric profiling bed.
The electrically adjustable bed height ranges from 275mm to 690mm, allowing the bed to be positioned at a suitable height for different care and transfer requirements. The four-section profiling system provides an electrically adjustable backrest and knee break, with mechanical lower-leg support. The backrest adjusts from 0–70° and the footrest from 0–30°.
Woburn Ultimate Bariatric Bed features in-built auto-regression, allowing the backrest to move backwards as it rises. This helps accommodate the user’s movement as the bed profiles and can provide a more controlled positioning experience.
Trendelenburg positioning is supplied as standard, while the in-built stability system is designed to reduce platform movement during use and while care is being provided. The bed also incorporates an emergency battery backup to support the electrical system in the event of a power interruption.
A locking handset provides control of the powered bed functions, while the low-voltage power supply keeps mains voltage off the bed chassis. Quick-release actuators and replaceable PCB and actuator pistons also support servicing and maintenance.
Woburn Ultimate Bariatric Bed is supplied with wooden head and footboards and aluminium side rails, providing a combination of robust functionality and a more domestic appearance. It is available in both 1200mm and 1400mm widths, with optional length and mattress extension kits available.
With its high user capacity, 381kg safe working load, 1200mm-wide mattress platform, electric profiling, auto-regression and adjustable height, the Woburn Ultimate Bariatric Bed is a substantial solution for bariatric care in residential, nursing and home environments.
