University Bath Hoist – Manual or Electric, 130kg

The University Bath Hoist is a fixed-floor bathing hoist designed to help carers transfer users safely and comfortably into and out of the bath. Available in both manual and electric versions, it provides a practical solution for assisted bathing in care homes, hospitals and domestic environments.

The hoist features a moulded seat that rotates through 360°, allowing the user to be positioned conveniently beside the bath before being transferred into the bathing position. The seat locks at 90° intervals, helping provide controlled positioning during transfers.

For the manual version, the seat is raised and lowered using an easy-to-operate winding handle. The electric version provides powered lifting and lowering, making it a useful option where carers require less manual effort during bathing transfers.

The University Bath Hoist can be installed at either the side or end of the bath, allowing the configuration to be selected according to the bathroom layout and access requirements. It is also available with fixings suitable for concrete or wooden floors, which must be specified when ordering.

The hoist is finished with an easy-clean white nylon coating, making it practical for regular use in bathing environments. A lap belt is supplied to provide additional user support during transfers.
