Selectis Shell Seat Chair – Tilt-in-Space Chair

The Selectis Shell Seat Chair is a specialist tilt-in-space chair designed for users who require supportive seating, flexible positioning and easier mobility. It is suitable for healthcare, residential care and assisted living environments, with a wheeled base that allows carers to reposition the chair more easily.

Its gas-assisted tilt-in-space mechanism adjusts from approximately -3° to +28°, helping carers change the user’s position while maintaining a supportive seated posture. The Selectis Shell Seat Chair also tilts forwards to assist with standing, while the removable leg rest retracts beneath the seat to provide clearer access during transfers.

Large 30cm puncture-proof rear wheels, 12.5cm swivel castors and an integrated central braking system provide practical manoeuvrability, including use across suitable outdoor areas. A directional wheel helps with controlled movement.

The Selectis Shell Seat Chair features an adjustable Velcro headrest, lap belt and hoist access to support everyday care and moving and handling. It is available in 16-inch, 18-inch and 20-inch seat widths, with a maximum user weight of 120kg (19 stone).
