The Integra Selectis Shell Seat Chair is a specialist tilt-in-space chair designed to provide supportive seating, easier transfers and improved manoeuvrability for users who require additional postural support. Developed for healthcare, residential care and assisted living environments, the Selectis combines a supportive shell seat with a wheeled base that makes it easier for carers to reposition the chair.

The gas-assisted tilt-in-space mechanism allows the chair to tilt from approximately -3° to +28° without significantly changing the user’s hip and knee angles. This provides flexibility for positioning, rest and pressure redistribution while helping maintain a supportive seated posture.

The Integra Selectis Shell Seat Chair has been specifically designed with larger rear wheels compared with the standard Integra Shell Seat. Its 30cm rear wheels feature puncture-proof tyres and an integrated central braking system, while the 12.5cm front castors swivel through 360° to make the chair easier to manoeuvre. A directional wheel also helps carers maintain controlled straight-line movement.

For users who need assistance when standing, the chair can tilt forwards to help bring the user towards a standing position. The angle-adjustable and removable leg rest automatically retracts beneath the seat as the chair tilts forwards, helping provide clearer access when transferring out of the chair.

The adjustable Velcro headrest provides additional head and neck support, while the lap belt is supplied as standard. The chair also provides good access for hoist transfers, making it a practical option for moving and handling within care environments.

The Integra Selectis Shell Seat Chair is available in 16-inch, 18-inch and 20-inch seat widths, allowing the chair to be selected according to the user’s size and seating requirements. All versions have a maximum user weight capacity of 120kg (19 stone).

The chair should still be used on appropriate surfaces and operated by a carer in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance.

It is not designed to be used as a passenger seat in a vehicle.

• 18-inch / 45cm – a mid-size option for a wider range of users.
